Counselors for Change is a collaborative high-impact coalition of passionate mental health professionals, educators, students, parents, community members, and partnering agencies dedicated to improving the mental health of communities through initiatives that increase mental health awareness and access to valuable information. We define a counselor as one who advocates for the wellbeing of others and value the diversity of backgrounds, expertise, and experiences our members and volunteers bring to the table.

Mission:

Counselors for Change seeks to increase mental health awareness, education, outreach, and advocacy to school-aged youth and those who are entrusted with their care, empowering individuals and communities with the support and resources needed to actualize their full potential.

Vision:

Counselors for Change envisions a world where everyone has early and ongoing
access to mental health education and quality services.

Call to action: Counselors for Change believes that we all have the capacity to be a counselor ~ one who advocates for the well-being of others. At the root of well-being is a world that is just, equitable, and safe. Awareness and education through open dialogue and leaning into the uncomfortable places is where change happens. We cannot change what we do not see or choose not to see. We invite you to join us to be a part of that Change. Be a “Counselor”. Have tough conversations, speak up, speak out, be accountable, advocate, take action, learn, grow, be compassionate, be kind.
